Our totem.
The lobster.
A lobster is a soft mushy creature that lives inside a rigid shell. When a lobster outgrows its shell it feels pressure as the shell becomes tight and restrictive.
In order to grow, the lobster needs to climb out of the old shell and wait for the new shell to harden. This process is called ecdysis. They emerge quite a bit larger and have some time to fill out and grow inside again before that shell too becomes restrictive.
The lobster to us represents growth, vulnerability and the discomfort that comes with change. The only constant is change and evolution.
